| The Protecter can be placed in front of or behind an existing firewall, protecting against all external attacks from the Internet. It can also be placed locally, for example in front of the switch on the internal network, to block local attackers. |

High-level Protection |
The databases for new Spyware, Virus, Intrusion Prevention and others are updated for new signatures, via encryted download, many times per day.
The Proctector receives and scans data using its different protection modules.
Intrusion Prevention uses Secpoint's own extensive database of signatures - the largest in the world - to stop hackers who may have succeed in getting past a firewall or router and can block in excess of 8000 unique hacker attacks.
There is also built-in protection from fragmentation errors, malformed packets. Critical system information is hidden from system scans using automatic anti-fingerprinting tehcnology.
Multi Anti-Virus engines are used to scan all protocols going through the Protecter - and in both directions, unlike most competitive products which typically scan only one or two protocols.
Only once the traffic is clean, is it forwarded to the recipient. |

Undesirable Traffic Blocking |
The Spam Filter is a customised version of Spam Assassin and uses both blakc list and a points system, with user configurable quarantine options.
Sypware is blocked from entering the network by the Anti-Spyware module, which can also detect, indentify and nneutralise existing infections.
If you have been compromised locally by a virus or a worm from a DVD or an infected local laptop, the Protector will also block outgoing attacks so that you cannot infect others.

No Reconfigurations Necessary |
The Protector is compatible with any operating system or hardware device such as firewalls, routers, hubs, mail servers and IP telephones. The Protector is easy to install. No reconfiguration of the network is necessary and installation wizards provide for fast set up.

Upgradeable System |
The entry-level system, for 10-50 users, is based on a 1U device which is rackmountable and comes complete with 10 security modules pre-loaded and 12 months of updates.
Various hardware specifications with higher bandwidths and redundancy are available. The Protector is also upgradeable with a licence key for user expansion. |
