David Stephenson Communications Pte Ltd (DSC) was established in Singapore in 1988. Starting from the distribution of personal computers such as Atari, Amiga, Commodore, and IBM-PC series in the late 1980's, we identified the market demand for data communications and first branched into modem distribution business. After a brief period of carrying products from Boca Research and Supra (Diamond Multimedia), we obtained exclusive distributorship for US Robotics in this region in 1994.
Even in its infancy stage, the Networking industry has been very dynamic. It didn't take long for major players to take strategic actions in order to maintain their majority market share. The unyielding nature of some companies had to compromise with the market trend in order to stay in the race. The non-exclusive distribution policy by the merged 3com/USR Robotics during mid 1998 prompted DSC to diversify into other brands. This became the advent o f DSC product portfolio augmentation, which included a number of recognized data communications brand names.
Expanding was relatively effortless since DSC had earned the confidence of principals that we deliver very well in terms of providing good mix of product portfolio, marketing and introduction of new technologies with efficient services and most importantly good after-sales support. Presently, DSC boasts to be supplying a variety of products from wireless LANs to LED lights to OCR scanners to label printers.
With the expansion of product lines came the expansion of distribution reach of DSC. Regional offices were set up in strategic countries, further maximizing our network potentials all over the Asia Pacific region.
Our company is managed and staffed by experienced and qualified professionals who bring with them a plethora of industry experience, including marketing, distribution, technical support, project management, and consultation.
By riding on the wave of the phenomenal success of the Internet and being in the right market with the right products, DSC has experienced spectacular growth and success in business.
We are to continue our success in the future by following the growth in data communications and Internet access business, and by exploiting the new and promising technology. |
